Wedding Inspiration

As I begin the long process of wedding planning (actually, I have to kind of hurry...I'm looking at a 6-month engagement!) I have been browsing real weddings (more than usual) to get some inspiration. I thought I'd share my top five favorite wedding elements with all of you. I'm definitely going to incorporate each of these into my own big day, in one way or another.

1. These colors: Gray and yellow work together so beautifully to me. A balance of sunshine and clouds, masculine and feminine, spring and winter, etc..

2. How realistic/cute are these tissue paper flowers? Working with such a tight budget, it'd be great to throw out the florist-cost altogether. I figure if I make about 5 of these a night, every night up until the wedding I may have just enough ;)

 3. Really, if I could just steal this couple's amazing reception, I would! I have been in love with these big yellow balloons ever since I first saw them on Pinterest quite a while ago. So simple, modern and fun.

 4. Montrell and I love breakfast foods. Our wedding will be in the evening, but we're considering dumping tradition and serving breakfast anyway. Breakfast for dinner has always been good to me! Besides, how cute would these mini pancakes be?

 5. I finally found the source of this photo and so discovered that the "ribbons" on the chairs are actually strips of fabrics. What a great idea! Adds so much character to the chairs. I'll be hunting down fabrics in many different thrift stores in the next few weeks.

I can't tell you how many times I've typed in "yellow gray wedding" into Pinterest and Google this week. Blogs are sure helping inspire my future wedding. There are so many great things to see. Wedding stuff is so much fun. I was born to be engaged. That's for sure!
