My sister, Bethany, and I totally grew up on Taquitos. It' probably one of the first things we learned to "cook" or heat up on our own! Over the years, we've tried many different ways to dip 'em: ranch and salsa seem to be reoccurring favorites. At a recent afternoon lunch, we decided to put together a little more variety for our beloved Taquitos.

First things first, you need to buy a box of Delimex Beef Taquitos (might as well throw Delimex Beef Tamales in the cart too, because you'll need a "main dish" after this fun appetizer). WalMart has them both ready for you to grab in the freezer sections. Go ahead and add your dip ingredients to your grocery list too. All those products are sure to be close by as well.

Here's what you'll need to build that perfect layered dip for your Taquitos

ONE: Refried Beans. TWO: Taco Seasoning. THREE: Mashed Avocado. FOUR: Nacho Cheese. FIVE: Sour Cream. SIX: Salsa. SEVEN: Shredded Cheese. EIGHT: Small Cup/Container.

This is how we do it:

ONE: Mix refried beans with a couple scoops of taco seasoning, then add a little layer in the bottom of the cup.
TWO: Mix a little salsa in with your mashed avocado and add it as the next layer.
THREE: Pour in a little nacho cheese.
FOUR: Add a plop of sour cream and spread it.
FIVE: Spoon in a layer of salsa.
SIX: Add shredded cheese to the top.
OPTIONAL: Keep repeating layers until your cup runneth over.

Stick a fork (or Taquito) in it, you're done! Although you'll probably need a few more Taquitos to finish off your dip, just the one makes for such a cute appetizer presentation. If you're hosting a fiesta soon, this is the perfect food to get the party started!
