Hickam Dog Beach

Sunday night I got to experience my first Hawaiian sunset (on the side of Oahu I'm staying on, the sun rises, so I never get to see the "set"). We went to the Hickam Air Force Base Dog Beach, which gave us a smooth beautiful view, without all of the crashing waves. It was just so peaceful. 

The dog beach is a really cool spot for hyper puppies. My new friend Shannon brought her cute boxer, Ruger. He had a lot of fun running through all the ankle-deep water and fetching his toys. Watch out for the rocks, though! Ruger seemed unfazed, but I walked right over a few and it may be the only thing worse than stepping on a lego in a kid's room!
