PHONE SNAPS
The first full work week after winter break is a tough one, friends. We ended last week with a little bit of snow here in North Texas (the very bare minimum) and an evening of babysitting. The rest of my time was filled with lots of working on projects in my offices, both for my job and at home, plenty of sitting in traffic (get your life together, I-35) and basically falling asleep on the couch every night and missing my favorite shows. Ready to get some downtime the next few days without a lot of wifi and cell service.

THE OBAMAS SAY GOODBYE
I don't care where you line up politically, you cannot argue the composure, class, decency and overall professionalism of our FLOTUS and POTUS. They gave their last speeches over this past week. Michelle, surrounded by some of the hardest-working in education - school counselors and the President in his adopted hometown of Chicago.

A RARIFIED CLUB
The Bush sisters wrote Sasha and Malia Obama a beautiful letter encouraging them as they become former-First Children. I couldn't help but tear up at the end because, on a smaller scale, I can remember exactly how hurtful it was to read unfair and hateful criticisms of my dad in my hometown newspaper as he put his heart and soul into coaching boys on a Friday night football field. What a sweet bipartisan gesture in a political climate that couldn't be more hostile.

EVERYDAY APP
Yet another new app I'm obsessed with to start off a new year! Everyday 2.0 reminds you to take a photo every single day. You can the alarm to alert you at the same time each day, or a random time. I prefer random to get different backdrops, occasions, etc. So far, it's been really cool to watch a fun stop-motion of my changing backgrounds/accessories, but keeping my same eyes, face structure and shape.
Looking forward to seeing all 365 of me at the end of the year! Maybe that round face shape will even evolve a bit - *crosses fingers on the way to make myself exercise*
EVERFRESH HAIR SCRUB
Recently, I got to try out Loreal's new Everfresh micro-exfoliating hair scrub, shampoo and conditioner for free thanks to Influenster. Having a scrub for your scalp/hair is definitely weird, but totally welcomed. As a life-long dandruff sufferer, this has been a lifesaver. I'll definitely get again when my container runs out. My dad got to give it a try too and he loves it.
