Meeting Little Appa

Over the past week, my old roommates|best friends, Crystal & Lupita added a little one to their apartment. Appa (yes, named after the sky bison from Avatar: The Last Airbender) is the cutest little 2-month old Shorkie there ever was.

I'd seen him a lot from all their instagram pictures, but I couldn't wait to go meet him for myself. Trust me, he did not disappoint. The cuteness and littleness is even better than pictures can even show. I tried my best to capture him as much as I could (he's not a fan of looking into the camera) so I could share with all of you.

Things about Appa at 2 Months:

He doesn't understand being "walked." He'd rather just sit and stare. 

He's the same size of a kid football. 

He sleeps a lot. He's basically a cat. 

He can't jump on the couch...only makes it about 1/3 of the way. 

When he's tired of running (usually about 5 feet), he just stops immediately.

He can fetch! Throw a little colorful ring around in the living room, he'll bring it back all day long. 

He doesn't quite know his name...or "come here."

The next time I see him I'll probably need to do another photo shoot, since he'll look like a whole new puppy. They grow so fast! Luckily, this little one won't be getting a whole lot bigger. I will admit, hanging out with Appa nearly gave me the puppy-bug. I'm trying to keep our household pet-free for a couple of years, so I'll just have to be satisfied with driving the 30 miles to visit this little guy!
