I fell in love with this link up because I love being married. 2 months in & I'm having the time of my life. If you're a newlywed, link up with Cheltee from Something About You and Me & Kelly from Today Was A Fairytale today!
I was born to be a housewife. Setting the female gender back 50 years, I love having dinner ready for him when he gets home. I like keeping our home clean. I like baking desserts. Working from home, I can do all that. It's awesome.
I'm still using gift cards given to us for our wedding. Seriously, thank you all for giving them! I bought groceries with one just last week. We really haven't spent a lot of our own money on our new home, which is awesome.
Speaking of home, getting married, I got to decorate a home! I'm still not done, of course (I've only been here a wee 2 months) but for the most-part, we're settled in. Although it may only be a temporary home, our apartment, I love the direction it's going so far.
I don't know when this is supposed to get old, but being introduced to strangers as his wife is probably one of the best butterfly-in-the-stomach-y moments I've had.
I am buying groceries for two now. Buying for one was always hard. Bread, milk, everything else ruined before you got a chance to use it all. Now, we usually run out of everything. That's a little bit of a pain too, but better than a waste!
I have someone to brush my teeth with every night because it's fun and sweet and super cute.
We talked about kids on Sunday. Not that we needed to have any soon...but, we talked about them. You can't do that when you're dating because then you're weird (like I was once told).
I used to sleep one of two way: 1. in the middle of the bed, spread out like a starfish. 2. with my hands on my chest as if I were in a coffin (ask my roommates, they thought I was crazy!) Now I get to share a bed. Besides him occasionally stealing all the covers and me learning to sleep on one side, I love waking up next to him each and every day.
Being married is really awesome. I'm glad I didn't wait until I was older, more mature, more financially stable, whatever, whatevs. As newlyweds, we're having the time of our lives with the person most important to us and I don't think that's something we'll wish we had waited on.
Don't forget to check out my We Do Wednesday post later today.
I may be a newlywed, but I'm reliving my wedding every week vicariously through my blog.

I love brushing my teeth with Travis, it sounds so weird but its so much fun at the time.

My husband and I had so much decorating our home together! That's a really fun part in the beginning. One of my favorite things to do is looking at furniture!
ReplyDeleteI don't think that it will ever get old being introduced as his wife. Kinda sends butterflies through your stomache huh :-)
